WHO WE ARE

PLANS

Leslie’s quick wit, sharp analysis and ability to turn a phrase have earned her widespread accolades since at least the fifth grade. Her first film, dubbed “Hair Video,” was lauded as a conceptual masterpiece by almost all members of the burgeoning 6th grade art scene in Amherst, New Hampshire. Since graduating at UNC with a BA in English and Comp Lit, Leslie has expanded her keen focus to include everything from furniture restoration to string theory. These days she keeps busy with press releases and production schedules and traffic managing and a little copywriting and if that doesn’t impress you, consider that she still manages to have plenty of free time to plot out exactly how her yet-hypothetical homemade condiment empire will allow her to take over the world. And oh yes, she will beat you in Scrabble.

Alison has been dreaming up wisecracks, manifestos and epic play cycles about pirates and rebel princesses since she was about three years old. In 1998, she realized these could be marketable skills and started the same things (pretty much) for her clients. Some of these include: The University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Goodwill Industries, The North Carolina Theatre Conference, The Pack Square Conservancy, Curamericas, Habitat for Humanity, Sit-N-Spin Records, and The Mill Center for the Performing Arts. Alison knows from personal experience that ghostwriting doesn’t involve the rattling of chains and P.R. is not just shorthand for public radio. When not quipping her way through a brochure or annual report, Alison writes novels and moonlights as a contrarian record store employee. She swears she’s not ashamed of the fact that she was almost a theater major.

SCENARIOS

Wilson’s been trying to convince us that his mathematical ability is not exactly a superpower for some time now. We remain unconvinced. Maybe it’s just his ease at understanding numbers—how they function, how they’re derived—and precisely what those numbers mean when it comes to good business and better strategy. Or maybe it’s just that we like the idea of Wilson as superhero. Whatever the case, Wilson has proven that a degree in Math can be used in some pretty interesting places. A serious (and we do mean serious) sports fan and veteran indie label employee, Wilson knows more about college baseball than you do and more about the music industry than really you want to. We still haven’t found his cape yet, but we’re reasonably sure he can fly.

Tripp artistic ambitions began at a young age when he spent hours redrawing then redesigning the floor plans that appeared monthly in his mother’s “Southern Living” magazine. Years and several dozen redrawn Rustic Cape Cods later, he earned a BFA in Printmaking -- much to his parents initial chagrin. After stint as a dog trainer/freelance designer, Tripp spent the last few years managing pre-press and design for a screen-printing company. As a result, he considers himself a veritable modern-day Gutenberg when it comes to printing. Armed with an arcane understanding and appreciation of printers and a formidable skill at design, Tripp makes exceptional work look really, really easy. He is also a remarkable chef. Photo of Wilson
